About Us
Animals have always been close to my heart. For all those who know me know it was inevitable that I would have a career with animals.
After college, I travelled the world gaining hands-on experience working with a wide variety of animals. I volunteered at a Wildlife Rehabilitation Sanctuary in Namibia and the Imire Rhino & Elephant Conservancy in Zimbabwe, before spending a year in Australia working with both the RSPCA and Australia Zoo. Those experiences only reinforced what I’d always known, I wanted to dedicate my career to improving the lives of animals and supporting the people who love them.
From those experiences, I decided to pursue Veterinary Nursing, combining my passion for animal care with supporting owners. I have worked in the veterinary profession for over eight years, qualifying top of my class in 2019, and continue within the veterinary field to keep my skills and knowledge up to date. I am registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), Fear Free Certified, and hold an Oral Health Certificate through the British Veterinary Nursing Association, allowing me to provide veterinary-led dental assessments and advice tailored to your pet.
Today, my role within The Grooming Nurse focuses on nurse consultations, dental assessments and being your first point of contact, while my wonderful grooming team take care of your dog’s grooming appointments. Together, they bring over 16 years of professional grooming experience and are committed to providing exceptional grooms using a kind, calm and force-free approach, ensuring every pet feels relaxed, safe and cared for throughout their visit.
I believe in giving honest, practical advice that helps owners make informed decisions about their pet’s health and wellbeing, from coat care and dental hygiene to weight management. It gives me great satisfaction knowing that, together with my team, we provide not only exceptional grooming but also compassionate, veterinary-led support, giving every pet the highest standard of care.
